The Fruit and Vegetable Co-Op is a group of people who pool their time, resources and buying power together to purchase good quality fresh fruits and vegetables at a low cost. They purchase in bulk and save money.• Ujamaa~Cooperative Economics & Sharing • They also learn more about food nutrition and preparation from one another. Working cooperatively with each other and sharing the responsibility for the work involved, helps build a stronger community. |
When you purchase a Co-Op you are agreeing to these rules:

Co-Op members should arrive at the center by 9am, to unload the van; separate/weigh fruits and vegetables into bags. |

Fruit & Vegetable and/or Fruit Only Co-Op’s are to be paid for in advance by the following ways:

Mailed payments must be received no later than Wednesday, the week of Co-Op (do not mail cash).
Check or cash payments made in person are due no later than Friday 3:00 pm, the day before Co-Op. |

You pay an additional $5.00 the day of Co-Op if you did not pre-pay by Friday 3:00 pm, (2423 Dowling) the day before Co-Op. |

Co-Op's picked up after 11am will be charged $2.00 extra per Co-Op for boxing. |

Co-Op's not picked up by 12pm, the day of Co-Op will be sold or given to a senior citizen and your money will not be refunded. |
